The MAGNUM Craze!!

I first saw the word "MAGNUM" in a television show wherein Anne Curtis boyfriend was said to be the endorser.  I wasn't aware that time that it is the newest product of Selecta.  The day after, it was all over the social networking sites.  Talking about its taste and they all seemed gaga for a stick of ice cream.  With all the things I read, I asked my hubby to buy one for me.

My verdict:
1.  It tasted really and good the ice cream inside is very light.  Not too sweet it is just right for my palate.
2.  The Belgian chocolate coating with almonds was a hit for me.  At first, I hesitated to taste it because I am not used to eating any kinds of nuts.  But, it proved me wrong.  It just melted in my mouth.
3.  It is quite pricey at Php50 but I can say that it is worth the price.
4.  The only downside for me was that.....It was very addicting!!!!  After I finished it I wanted MORE!!!

A Taste of "Mango Brutus"

Summer is once again here and it is fast approaching. Done with the days that we experience having a hard time getting up in the morning because of the cold weather. As early as 5 in the morning, I am perspiring and wants to take a cold shower. So what more can you expect when the clock ticks at 12 noon?

Waaahhhhh!!!! The heat is making all of us crazy! Some of us take a bath, sip on a very cold soda or water while others, stay on their air conditioned room. But, for my family nothing beats to a tasty, cool fruit shake.  Since mangoes are in season it is our lead star.

MANGO SHAKE FOR ME WILL FOREVER MEANS "MANGO BRUTUS"

This has brought a lot of old memories when we were little.  The times when our parents, friends or relatives treat us an order of the  tastiest mango shake  that only Mango Brutus can give.  Every sip of it made me smile and reminisce my childhood days.  It is just so sad that a product as good as that didn't make it.  My hubby and I even outdo one another in reliving our own experience.  It was so fun because by simply making a fruit shake we were once again a child.  We laughed, giggled and even argued like 5 years old.  Hmmm.....It was just so FUN! :-)

Have you tried Mango Brutus when you are little? Share it with me :-)

Mango Shake Recipe:

4-5 pcs of med sized ripe mangoes
1 small can of evaporated milk
1 pouch of all purpose cream (optional)
1/4 kilo of white sugar (dissolved in water)
6-8 cups of crushed ice

PROCEDURE:
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend it together.  Pour on individual glasses and enjoy the refreshing Mango Shake.

Hot On The Dot!

Usually during weekends, my family spends time together just strolling in the mall and dine out.  But, since the weather wasn't that cooperative and our mode of transportation needs to be fixed we decided to just order our dinner.

My son and I craved for pizza....Since he is a picky eater, he only eats pizza from Pizza Hut and the only variant he eats is the Hawaiian.  So we have no choice...

The delivery man came on time and what I noticed was the red box of the pizza which reminded me that they have this Hot on the Dot campaign.  So, I checked the pizza and it was indeed HOT!  yum! yum!

Indicator tells it's HOT when it's HOT!
Indicator goes Black when it's COLD!

And then, I noticed this small sticker in the center of the box.  My hubby explained to me that it was a temperature indicator.  When it is Hot it shows the word HOT and when it isn't it goes black.

Hmm...I am pretty much impressed with this idea and as a loyal customer I am very much assured that I get what I paid for.  With prompt delivery service and good quality food we can never go wrong with PIZZA HUT!

(Note:  This is purely my personal experience and Pizza Hut didn't pay me for this post.)

Grow Foods In The Basket

I just want to share to you the basket hat I made for my kid for his school's Nutrition month celebration.  I made a newspaper basket and attached it on a hat then covered it with felt paper.  It was composed of Grow foods and I used a combination of recycled materials like the milk cartons, true foods like the string beans, nuts and mongo seeds and some printed materials for the meat products.  It took me two weeks to finished it but, it was all worth it because my son was one of the winners in his level.

How did you celebrated Nutrition month?

Pan De Amerikana in Marikina

Many of the Marikenos are very familiar of the place called Pan de Amerikana situated at Rancho Estate Marikina City. I discovered this place because it is just a walk away from my kid school. At first, I thought that it is expensive to dine here but I was wrong because they offer good food at a very affordable price.  It is also a techie friendly place because you can surf the web for free via their free WIFI.  But be informed that they are always jam packed especially Sunday mornings.  They have no waiting area meaning they will not let you in when they are full.

Here are some photos I took during my visit.
